A branch of the American Counseling Association (ACA), the Texas Counseling Association (TCA) is the professional home from counselors in the state of Texas.
Within TCA, we have 12 professional interest divisions.
Each one of these volunteer led groups focuses on sub-topics impacting professional counselors in Texas.
Divisions offer information and opportunities on how to effect change for topics that directly impact your practice.
TCA also has 32 chapters at the local level.
TCA offers numerous member benefits including LegalCare (unlimited phone consultations with an attorney for personal and professional issues), a subscription to our bi-annual professional Journal, The Journal of Professional Counseling: Practice, Theory, & Research, Industry News and updates, liability and other insurance, continuing education and professional development, grants, and online listings in our public directories.
